Hi everyone!
Can anyone tell me how they assign children to each classroom? Someone told me they look for certain traits (maturity, temperment, etc), but I don't think that Gay knows me or my child at all, so I'm not sure how she could make that sort of decision for my child before the school year starts.

I suspect only Gay knows that. Impressions from talking with parents there:
Sibs are separated
If an older sib has attended but is now gone, the child will often be put in the same room
Classrooms are balanced in terms of gender, age, except for the green room which is a bit younger
