Any positive stories about calling hotels about an item you left behind?

| NYLO Hotel, upper west side NYC, left several bracelets, earrings, necklace (duh!), all just sterling silver, but favorites. Called them & the housekeeping emailed me and sent me shipping label to fill out. All items returned within 5 days. BTW, great boutique hotel with nice staff. |

Our au pair left her stuffed teddy bear that she had owned since childhood and it was not found/returned 
This was at an off-site Disney hotel maybe 5 years ago. |

| My mom left her engagement ring in a hotel by 95 in South Carolina when I was a kid. I still remember her joy and relief when she called back and the housekeeper had already reported finding it. Mom gave the housekeeper a huge tip when we stopped back to pick up the ring. |

OP here. I found the earrings! For some reason I had put them inside my electric toothbrush case. No idea why I did that, except that we were in a rush to get out since I needed to get my son medical attention for a concussion. I had actually found a replacement pair but would’ve had to order them from Denmark.
I’m glad to have heard so many positive stories about peoples items being returned. |
