Alexa and Siri Can Hear This Hidden Command. You Can’t.

Me either! What is the point? You don't have a full understanding of how your data is being used. Yet you are willing to take that risk, in exchange for the coolness factor of being able to tell Alexa to turn on some music or order from Amazon.

Big brother is always listening AND you paid for it! Stupid sheeple.

Okay. The more noise they get, the harder it gets to sift through. I absolutely don't care.

That’s not how this works at all. The more data they get, the more accurate a statistical picture becomes. Like your driving patterns, your child’s dietary restrictions, your behavioral economics. There is big money in that data, and it isn’t only for amazon ads and free versions of parenting apps. More people should care.

London has big problems with their video feed because of too much data. Behavioral economics is still in its infancy. If data collection helps with it, I am all for it. I am, actually, allowing tracking.

It's not a difference of opinion, it's that you clearly don't understand the technology and have a limited understanding of what can be done. Same with landline phones that aren't old fashioned rotary phones. You know, the VOiP Cisco ones that have fake dial tones? same thing.

We can hear you through it all, and can see you through your camera, dumdum.

love,
the government and your friendly neighborhood gov contractor

Wow. Calm down. Part of my not knowing much about it is my not caring much about it. My cellphone is off when I'm home but you're right, when it's on it's gathering info. Still not getting another one of these devices in my home. It'll be ok.

What kind of TV do you have?

I don't have a TV. I'm sure you won't believe me but it's true, haven't had one since 2010 (and that was one of those huge old tube tvs you probably can't even use anymore.)

Really? Post your bank account, address, and driver's license number then.

There is still a need for privacy when you are a law-abiding citizen. I hate it when people are so cavalier about this fact. Everyone does not have your good intention.

What does the government monitoring me and my info have to do with a public forum
