Who is the new principal? |
The principal isn't leaving. One of the CES teachers is moving to another CES. |
Oh NO! |
Why? |
I heard he was unhappy with principal. But that is 2nd hand so don't quote me. |
He's helping to open a new center. |
| I am writing this in 2024. If anybody reads this, I will be very surprised. I am not a mother but a former student at the Oak View CES program I went there at the 4th-5th grade from 2018-2020. It was great, the teachers were very good. |

My kid went to Oak View CES a while ago, so I think.ost of the teachers have turned over. But we found them to be universally creative and good, and it's the most engaged my now middle school kid has ever been in school.
But we came from a home school in a more affluent area with a super active PTA, and there's a dramatic difference in extracurriculars, field trips, and other school perks that cost money, because the Principal has made a perfectly reasonable decision not to let the CES parents pay just for their kids to get those things and not for kids outside the CES. So the after school activities are what teachers volunteer for, there's no onsite aftercare, no geography bee, and as other posters noted, less expensive field trips. We thought it was worth it, but it's noticable. |
| Your kid is in a waitpool with a lot of other kids, not on a waitlist. The likelihood of getting offered a spot is pretty slim. I wouldn't put too much energy into this. |
