Nope - it's 20 kids in each pre-K class, with 2 teachers, and "English" teacher and a Hebrew teacher. So it's a 10:1 ratio.

Seems a bit large for prk. But are the classes the same size for K & 1st?? Do the upper grades have 2 teachers also?

In later grades, those subjects are taught in English. Past preK, Hebrew is only taught in a Hebrew class one hour a day and in morning assembly. They’re trying to figure out how to add more Hebrew, but your child won’t be lost in academic subjects for not knowing hebrew

Does anyone know the history of this school(I am aware it's only been about 5 years), in particular how the idea of Hebrew immersion came to be in Washington, DC??

Not a Sela parent, but know of a family with a child currently enrolled. I was told that at this time they have an interim head of school that they seem to be pleased with.

I don't have all the details, but basically it's run by the school and they have different pricing tiers based on need. They have various activities, such as yoga and ballet.
