Drive or fly to Toronto

Born in Toronto living in NOVA. The drive can be as little as 8 to 8 1/2 hours. With a family of four, driving is much less expensive. 270N to 70 west through Breezewood to 76 W to 79N to 90E to 190 to the Peace Bridge to the QEW to Toronto. If I remember correctly it is about 530 miles. I have done it in 7 1/2 hours but usually it is 8 1/2....

We flew using Porter from IAD into Billy Bishop and loved it. It was inexpensive (220 USD RT). (Wait for a sale. There are many. When I went 2 years ago, it was cheaper to pay using Canadian dollars by switching my website location to Canada.) Toronto is compact, and we didn't rent a car. We walked or ubered everywhere. We took a bus to Niagara Falls. It worked great for us. We don't have a lot of vacation time, so using a day on each end for the drive wasn't what we wanted.
