I have All-Clad's stainless steel pans (shiny stainless outside) that I have used for more than 15 years. They are still in amazing shape, the handles stay cool, the heating is even, they clean up easily. They are machine washable (but not all items in the brand are--I chose stainless for this specific aspect of dishwasher safeness) and a few times a year I take a brillo pad to a particularly crusty pot. The all clad non-sticks are not a good investment, though--they lost their non-stickness quickly, and I would have expected better from a $100 pan. If you're looking for a non-stick fry pan for eggs and pancakes, etc., I would just get something relatively inexpensive at Target. |
