What other breed do you see in this mutt?

+1

Sharpeis are too expensive to be mixed. The DNA tests used to be carried at Petsmart and similar places. I think they have come down in price. Amazon might have them by now.

It took me 10 years to finally do this - wish I had sooner because my mutt was nothing we though he was!

How did you do it? on your own? through a vet?

You can buy a kit on Amazon and send back a cheek swab.

If you're trying to get him into an apartment building..."poodle mix."

Many. Some breed standards ban them, actually, because they're so "common".

By the way, contrary to popular belief, fighting pits are NOT bred for mass--they are bred for speed (too big and they're actually too slow to fight) and aggression.

They are actually usually on the low end of the 30-50 lb spectrum, so 35 lbs is right in range for a female fighting pitbull.

This. Smaller pit bulls the size of the dog in OP's post are often more dangerous. Game bred pit bulls are that size and they are bred to be fast and fearless and continue to fight even if they are injured or in pain.
