Pure barre classes = bigger butt?

Glad I found this site. My bum has been getting bigger and thighs too. I don’t want the body of a speed skater.

I have the exact same issue with solidcore.

Op its very unlikely that all of your 5 lbs are muscle. Unfortunately you are eating more - its a common thing when people start working out - you just feel hungrier.

As others have said, if your clothes fit better etc then dont worry about it. If they dont then cut back on the eating.

I am fascinated by how different all our bodies are andhow different they react to exercise. I am a skinny fat apple shape, for me getting a round muscular ass and more defined thighs are what I want to get from bar, my pear shaped friend with her beautiful curvy butt is hoping for slim ballerina legs.. we are both going religiously at the same time, she is gaining muscle and mass she doesn’t want super fast and I am gaining zero... oh well

Although I will say my ass is getting slowly rounder (just not bigger )

Sadly this. Isn’t 5 pounds of muscle a lot for a barre class?

Look I wouldn’t go to an exercise class if it made me feel fat. Your jeans don’t fit. I’d switch to something else. My guess is that you’ve cut back on cardio which is why the weight gain.

Not familiar with Pure barre but always thought of it as gimmicky/fad but if it works for someone than more power to you. If you are doing this daily than you're going to get results because of the repetitive motions just like squatting or deadlifting everyday without heavy weights...just think bodyweight exercises.

Waist shrinks gives off illusion of a rounder butt or "bigger butt" for some.
