Which school would you choose for your biracial child?

Of course, I can't tell you what to do OP. You are in an extremely difficult position. Waldorf leaves a lot be desired academically. It sounds like private Montessori may be the next best option. I am not happy with either of your choices.

I would not choose Waldorf for a child of any race.

Op here. Point taken. I think we're going to go with the neighborhood conventional school. I've read too many horror stories about Waldorf.

OP from a parent whose DS was badly discriminated against in a HRCS, please avoid them at all cost, especially if you and your husband are both well educated foreign born immigrants not representing your countries. What I am saying had happened to several people but no one really cares about it. If you try to address it you will be dismissed.

Why exactly would we not be representing our countries? I'm confused. And what's is HRCS?

Highly Regarded Charter School

I read PP representing countries as diplomat or G4 visa holder.

You want to put your kid into a school that has some diversity. At such a young age, the academic part isn't as important as the social aspects of it. Plus, you want a good neighborhood that you feel comfortable in. Being in an area where there is alot of South Asian may or may not be a great thing. Don't isolate yourself more than you need to. Give up on the mentality of being too traditional. If you teach your kid consistently the respect and manners & it's language and culture you want, he get it.
