Some random recommendations-
I loved Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Reminded me of Man Called Ove. Ditto on Tana French recommendations. All the Dublin books are amazing. Commonwealth by Ann Patchett is excellent for anyone with a dysfunctional family (and who doesn’t have one?) Still Me - the latest in the Me Before You series - was really good. I hated the second one though. Ninth Hour by Alice McDermott is wonderful but admittedly plodding if you don’t like her style. First few Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich were the best quick and hilarious reads but got old after those. |
