Has God Ever Spoken To You?

I don't pray, I don't do anything but be a good person and give back to society. I call it Karma Religion. Anyway we experienced the very sudden and tragic death of our 3 year old. I was having a very hard time functioning about 6 months after. All the community support and sympathy had calmed down. Husband was back to work, kids back to school, and me alone in this empty house. I was use to being with our 3 yr old all day. It was very very hard. One day I just had a pressing of words into my soul. It wasn't nice, it was strict and serious but it was what I needed. It was a message of words I had never really used before and not a wording I had heard elsewhere. It was "if you can't find joy in your heart to raise the kids you have here you will ruin their lives. they will have a sad, grieving mother that robbed them of an innocent childhood. you have got to get it together or this ship is going down." Very hard to explain. But it was a very clear message and it was definitely from someone above.
Thank you for sharing, and I am sorry about your loss.

I am not mocking you, and I say this sincerely. If you read the Bible, when God speaks, it is very clear what He is saying. It makes no sense for God to speak to you and but leave you unsure what you are to do. You can see no evidence of him acting that way in Scripture.

Thanks for your opinion, but I disagree. The problem with the bible it was written by man, and how much has been transliterated properly. It is not supposed to be taken literally.

That leaves you with two problems: One is my original issue with a message from God that gives you no clarity; the other is how do you judge who is talking to you? Maybe the voice you hear isn't God's.

I think that you are just trying to pick an argument, I am with my religion and enjoy discussing it. I don't hear voices in my head, I don't talk to walls nor do I bark at the moon. I felt a calling to holy orders, I still believe that to be true. I felt god called me into a vocation. I may be wrong, maybe I wasn't called, but it is what I choose to believe. It makes me happy. I don't have any problems with my beliefs, nor the bible. I hope you enjoy you weekend.

I agree with you. The person is trolling the religious sites because he has a bone to pick. There will always be these types making fun of people, saying you have mental problems. I know what you were saying. It’s nice of you to share.

Yes. He has spoken through visions, dreams, signs and impressed things upon my spirit. There are times when he has spoken very clearly when I pray in tongues (heavenly language)

Do you know that speaking in tongues is simply gibberish?
