3 kids in daycare--cost?

Holy cow! I'll keep my GS-13 job far away from DC. For my twins who aren't quite 3, we pay $1050/month for both at a high quality daycare. That goes down to $850 when they turn 3 IF they are potty trained.

And I might add it is 3 or 4 years after this thread started. $1200/mo is the most I ever paid for both of my twins ($600 ea/mo.). They stayed with my mom until 17 mos but we paid the same rate as newborns until they turned 2.

Wow, that seems inexpensive -- where do you live? 1500 for all three kids? I pay 1300 for one child in the 2 year old room.

How is this possible? $1500 for 3 kids in full time daycare? You must not live in the DC Metro area.

Posters who refuse to say where they're getting their insanely low rates, are likely not being completely honest here, imo. Or it's a friend/relative/neighbor giving them a discount that you wouldn't get.

Alexandria City. We pay just shy of $4000/month for three kids in daycare.

Not the PP, but these rates are similar to what they charge at St. Anthony's Day School, which supposedly is the best daycare and preschool in Alexandria City.

American Day School has similar rates in Old Town Alexandria, ranging from $400/week for infants to $280/week for pre-k. Also a 10% sibling discount.
