Huh- I was just considering this for Spring Break? Details?

Lol, I just booked this for spring break after reading reviews here and elsewhere. And we’re AA—lucky us.

I wasn’t impressed at all by Honolulu. The fact there are people out there who go all that way just for Waikiki and such is crazy to me!

That said we LOVE both Maui and Kauai. Hoping to check out the Big Island soon.

The first time I went to Los Angeles I was like “what”??? I feel like popular culture plays it up as this glamorous and super cool place and to be honest I found it very dirty, too spread out/car centric, and not particularly pretty. I liked San Diego 10x better.

I’ve been to Captiva (though not Seven Seas) and it beautiful. I am white but liberal and did not encounter any rude or openly racist vacationers. In fact, most were from Wisconsin or Minnesota or other midwestern cold places and they couldn’t have been nicer.

I bet you didn’t go to Kauai

that's actually exactly where we went. Spent a week there and a week on Maui.

Florence- was really bored by all the same, religious art in the famous museums.

Well, yeah. No one is going to the DE/MD shore from California and I don't think anyone who vacations there is claiming it's a gorgeous beach. These are the closest beaches for a huge metropolitan area. That's why those are popular.

This is the weirdest vacation criteria ever. Nice weather - check, nice beaches - check, nice accommodations - check, good food - check, convenient to fly in/out - check, good value - check. Not enough diversity? Oh, then I guess we won't go there. I've been to beaches all over the world, and I've got news for you, it's ALWAYS mostly white people.

+1. My family hated Disney! The crowds, the bad food, the heat, the commercialism! We'll stick to our beach and city vacations. Hilton Head is one of our favorites.
