Writing "For Deposit Only" on the back of a check - is there any point?

This is interesting. I no longer do it because I deposit the check electronically. The physical check is then good as void because fraud detection keeps it from being cashed twice.

You cannot cash a check with this on the back. I do it on any large checks sent through the mail.
