| 30's!! (I'm 48 now) |
| In my case, not a full decade. Best years 29-35. |
| So far, 50s! My kids all grew up and left home in my 40s. I was super proud of them, but it was tough going from five kids at home to empty nest so quickly. My late 40s were about figuring out my new role as Mom to adult children and then grandmother. By 50 I had started sorting all that out. The transition was much easier for my DH than it was for me. By 50, I had learned to enjoy the freedom that comes with an empty nest. |

50s
You're finally comfortable in your own skin no matter how big that skin gets. You don't care what anyone thinks or does as long as you are left out of their drama. Speaking of drama, I don't do it. Anxiety wanes and you no longer feel like you're running in place going no where. You don't have to be nice to your ungrateful kids. Wear what you want, go where you want, have that me time you heard about yet never experienced. Flip off your husband. Say no and mean no. Sleep all day if you feel like it. Got rid of the clock. Life revolves around you for once. Embrace the wrinkles. NO PERIOD. Cook if you feel like it. A little house dirt never killed anyone. You can afford whatever you want yet those wants are no longer a priority. GRANNY PANTIES ! The ultimate freedom. I love this stage of life. Probably because I never thought or dreamed we'd be where we are now. Life is full of surprises. |
Love this. You inspire me! -31, almost 32 |
Thanks! You made my day!

You again. |
But it's true. We glow neon green until 30. |
| Still waiting on it. I'm 47 |
Whatever

40s so far - raising my great kids, making some money, enjoying my hobbies, interesting friends but, most of all, I fell in love - like a sucker punch from the Universe.
Hard to beat that. |
|
Looking forward to my 100s.
By then everybody else I grew up with will be dead and I will have outlived everyone. |

37. I have loved my 30s. I feel like the smart- but maybe boring choices I made in my 20s really paid off in my 30s. 20s were spent in law school & grad school. I didn’t rush to get married, saved a lot vs. wild spending. Now that I’m older I love that I’m done with school- have a great retirement account, stable career, cool husband.
That being said- I can’t wait for my 40s! The coolest women I know are 40 & up. I want to join that club!!! |
