Did they ask your daughter before assigning her a room with a cat?

They notified her about 4 weeks before school start of her room assignment and told her about it and if she wanted to stay or if she’s prefer a different roommate.

Is the support cat confined to a small dorm room all the time? That seems cruel. I thought cats need about 1/4 acre to be happy.

It’s actually a suite with a living room, bathroom and bedroom.

There should be plenty of stimulation for the cat given the space and (presumably) windows and admiring students.
The risk to the cat's health and safety is that her owner is an irresponsible idiot.

325 sq feet is not enough room for 2 people and all of those cats. I feel so bad for those cats.

Update: my daughter is anxiously awaiting winter break and to move out. The kittens were cute for awhile but now she's annoyed. Apparently roommate never cleans the litter box, cats are all over the sinks and toilet etc...among other issue's she's having with the roommate.
