Foreign languages at FCPS not until middle school?

Fairview has Mandarin 2x/week (or at least it did; we've since moved). Unfortunately, it's not effective. You really need it every day to learn/understand it and the teacher sucks. My kids dreaded it.

Both programs have many benefits and reach kids in different ways. I wish there were more opportunities for schools to have both.
