Did anyone marry their first boyfriend?

Both of my bffs from high school did. They both strongly regret it. One will likely divorce once her youngest gets out of HS. They've both been married 24 years.

I married my second boyfriend, I'm his first (at least with sex). Met at 24/28, married at 27/31, been married for 5 years, together for 9, have two under two and are still madly in love. I feel grateful every day that I met him

Well, married my second serious boyfriend but didn't start dating him until 25. Once we hit the six month dating anniversary that became my longest relationship.

I dated other guys, not seriously, so I did have that comparison. I had certain dos and dont's from observing my parents and their sometimes tumultuous marriage and eventual divorce. I also knew myself well enough to know some, but maybe not all, that I needed in a relationship to be happy. It's not like I had 3 different guys and can pick door number 1,2, or 3 and literally compare three guys that want to marry me at the same time. I had to be able to make the best decision in the moment if I thought a guy was the right person for me without being able to see in the future who I might meet or go back in the past for the guy in hindsight that would have made a good boyfriend.
