+1. Anyone who knows Washington and Russia has known that Manafort has been a major lobbyist in deep with the Ukrainian politicians and their Russian backers for years (at least a decade). What kind of dumbshit campaign manager doesn't vet camapign staff for conflicts that are so obvious? That Manafort was allowed within 100 yards of a Trump campaign office anywhere speaks to the amateur nature of the Trump campaign.

Well, nuttily aggressive PP aside, the fact remains that Manafort seems to have directly offered a window for the Russians right into the Trump campaign. Fun fact learned from Twitter: that was the same night that Carter Page was in Moscow giving a speech against sanctions.

Do you think Trump leaked the Manafort stuff to distract from the fact that now we know that Donnie himself is under investigation?

It's a good question about who leaked this. A lot has been coming out that we normally wouldn't see n this investiagtion.. I doubt it's Trump, though. He would never let any story outshine himself. Plus, all roads in this investigation lead straight to him. America, we have a problem. It starting to become clear that we may well have a seriously compromised president with no clear way to remove him other than election.
