Uber for teens? Or where to hire an afternoon driver?

we started to use uber this year for rides home from school on some days--for 14 yo son--so far so good. we have the family account, so I get texts when he calls for pick up, when driver arrives, etc. son also texts me when he's home.

In response to questions, I'm the one with the friend whose daughter had the recent bad experience. She is in her mid-20s. I know they reported the episode to Uber, which said he would be suspended pending an investigation. I don't think they got the police involved.

When I was a graduate student, I "nannied" for a 14yr old boy. I picked him up from school, ran him home to change and get a snack, then to whatever practice, then home or to a restaurant to meet his parents for dinner. I worked about 3-4hrs per day and was paid a guaranteed 20hrs per week, plus gas. It was great for me and worked well for the family.

What location was this and how much did you make an hour?
