Why does SJP have such bad skin?

I agree too. Less eyeliner, a little better hair color, and maybe a brighter tinted lip would help tremendously. But regardless, I think she is aging fine! I don't get the obsession on this board with having a fake plastic face.

I agree the eye makeup is very heavy. Watching Divorce, at times it was near impossible to tell there were eyes in there somewhere. But, I figure this is the look she's going for either personally or professionally. She would certainly have the advice she needs, so I'm assuming she's doing what she wants. There are young women who wear disfiguring makeup, too, it's a thing.

I agree that her makeup is the issue. It's makeup for a woman in her 20s. If SJP had her makeup done to be more suited to someone her age, she would look just fine.

You're right--she should take time away from her kids and husband (who love her as she is) and get her makeup professionally done every time she steps outside her Manhattan apartment so that she doesn't make others uncomfortable with her 'whatever age make up'.

Why would she get it done professionally or take time away from her kids? Buy something different when you are at the cosmetics counter or wherever you get makeup. This is not rocket science.

I'm the same age and my skin is fabulous. To be fair, I am a brunette not a blonde.

She's very thin and looks like she has sun damage. On the plus side, at least she hasn't messed up her look completely with plastic surgery.

She is just wearing too much makeup.

I agree-- ditch the eyeliner and find a hair color that's more flattering to her skin tone.

And a more flattering cut, something shorter and soft around her face. It's amazing to me that she styles her hair in does her makeup in the most unflattering way ossicle.

Also, she should gain 5-10 pounds, that would plump up her face a bit. She's so, so thin.

But yeah, smoking. Not good.

^^possible, not ossicle (WTF?)

Do you think the eyeliner is permanent? Because why would she keep doing THAT?

She's had TONS of plastic surgery. You can't see that?!

Not really, it certainly doesn't look like it now.

ahh . . . self- righteous one

I'm 51 and was a sun worshipper and yet, while I do indeed have wrinkles, I don't have as nearly the wrinkles SJP does. Nor is my skin that crepey.

my guess? years of smoking, plus years of watching her weight

I know someone in her early 30s who looks like this.

Dad is an attorney in a small town and she had a pool, regular visits to a lake boat, and multiple yearly vacations to the beach and the carribean. She was very very tan every summer. Now her face is like leather. Pretty girl, super damaged face. Guarantee you it's not genetics.

too much make-up -- it has settled into the wrinkles. it's a bad picture too. we all have bad pictures every so often. some more than others!

I vote for anorexia, smoking, and bad makeup.
