+1. I seriously question OP's character. |
What thread are you talking about? |
The university is giving them research space and time, and faculty advisement, in exchange for work (TA position). If they are not working for the university, they have to pay tuition for the office, research time, and advising, just like any other student. |
| Link please to the statistics phd.. |
If you search "statistics phd" plenty show up. I'm not the previous poster, but I recall that there's a muslim poster with a husband working on his statistics phd that's always complaining too. I'm not sure if they're the same because they do change slight details. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/654520.page#11201695 http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/485446.page |
+2. OP is a dolt. |
I don't teach classes anymore. I'm also not taking course work. I'm not originally from the US so things are confusing for me. It seems everything will be fine. They're going to let me work remotely. |
Ah, the good old "I wasn't born here" reasoning... But you haven't had any issues when they gave you $ before right? |
Are you always this nasty? |
LOL. Only to those who deserve it. |
| It's amazing to me that you can be getting a phd and be so stupid. |
Yet those academia know just how hard it is to get gainful employment, let alone tenure-track status post-graduation. They should be happy for this student. |
|
Yup. You need to calculate it your job is worth it.
|
| I think there are actually 2, separate PhD statistics on here, and neither of them (and one of their spouses) have any clue. Every post is worst than the last. It's mind boggling. |
Pay up then. What are you complaining about? |
