I think Des and Chris chose to go the slightly more private route with their lives. The whole Brooks vs. Chris thing made Des look a little silly and she seemed to be embarrassed about it when asked, and needed to move on.

Back to the actual show though - does anyone else think that Kristina is completely naive / a little bit stupid regarding Dean? Its like she is not hearing him.

^ I agree. He made it clear he wasn't ready to commit. And while he seems nice, he also seems immature. They're wrong for each other.

He was giving mixed signals. He led her on saying he wants to keep getting to know her (to get the rose so he could stay) and he wants to slow down (not stop completely). He did act like he was giving her the power to dump him because when he has the power to choose, he will dump her. I'm not liking him anymore. It's painful to watch him causing pain in someone else. If he really wants to find love, and he already has someone, why dump her to go out with that other girl? Also it seems like he could be gay or bi (picture of him lying against Peter, him saying he wanted to take a shower and look pretty, him doing that eating/kiss thing with Iggy).

I think Dean is one of those people who wants to be liked, at the cost of being direct and honest. He was really concerned that Kristina hated him.

I'm not sure if you picked this up from the show. But, during the 10 days hiatus, Kristina and Dean spent the whole time together either in her city or his. So, when you see her getting more serious about him, it's based on all the time they spent together outside of the show. Dean has been messing with her mind. Not cool.

I really tried hard to watch BIP, but ended up just being so completely embarrassed for the participants (contestants? players?) that I had to change the channel.

Yes, I know all that. You like she are stuck on that hiatus time. Since then he has been "distant" (her word) and not communicating. Then he said they should slow down and back up and not be exclusive.

Its THAT part she is not hearing. She is stuck on the 10 day hiatus not what is happening now...

He's messing with her. He tells her there was nothing "romantic" about his date with DLo. Then he does a little pinkie promise and kiss with Kristina.... it's not surprising that she is getting sucked in. Every woman I know has done the same thing. Objectively, we can tell that the guy just isn't into her, but the girl spends hours trying to analyze the meaning of everything that was positive -- b/c that must mean something! ("he's afraid to commit"... .right?) We've all been there. She's only 25. He's jerking her around.

Yes, absolutely. He is so young in a lot of ways, and this is one of them. Then in others it seems like he had to grow up so fast.
