How long did your Honda Pilot last?

2005 with 231k on it. It's still running great but i'll be honest when I say I do worry that it'll decide to peter out when we're in the middle of a family road trip, when I need to get 4 different kids to 4 different practices, etc. We'll be getting a brand new one this summer. Love the Hondas.

OP here too. This is me - I don't want to be on the beltway or 5 hours away, packed with a dorm room full of supplies, when/if it conks out. For the most part, we take a newer car or a rental on the 4 hour + drives.

We just traded in our 2006 with 127K after being told we needed a SECOND transmission replacement. The first one went at 95K.

That said, we had an Accord before, and we traded the Odyssey in for a Pilot. So there's that....

You need to post more than just the mileage. How often do you need to get repairs, what issues are cropping up other than regular service????

I have an 2007 Honda Pilot 4x4 and it has around 335,000 Miles on her now. Not a single problem but a busted radiator from hitting a deer (I live in the middle of nowhere) Just regular maintenance seems to be the key. Love this car! great off road and for towing and regular driving.

Ugh we need a new SUV in a month or so and I (seriously) want to like the Pilot SO BAD, but its SO bland and boring looking. I have a hard time spending that much on something that isn't even slightly fun to drive.

Along the way, I've had to do repairs on a back window that fell down, the AC, the back windshield wiper motor is out. I've just had the battery cables replaced (thought the starter had gone out) and the power steering is going. My mechanic said there's other repairs that are needed that exceed the value of the car, so I've started car shopping.

Dang!

My goal is 200k miles. After that I think car shopping is fair game.

Of course I am currently driving a 2001 Civic with only 130k on it. We only put about 4k a year on it so I'll be driving it forever apparently.

Wow, you should contact Honda's marketing an offer to be in a commercial for them in exchange for a sweet deal on a enw car.

Don't you folks want a back up camera and modern air bags? Other safety features?

Me and my 2003 PT Cruiser with 32k will be right there with you....

Want, sure. But cars are incredibly expensive. It does not make sense to get rid of them for new bells and whistles.

2007 Pilot with 150,000. Just replaced radiator and brakes. I do regular oil changes, replaced timing belt at 90,000 and other misc stuff over the years. I like not having a payment so hoping it goes to at least 200,000.
