OP here. Hopefully that isn't the case and without sounding naive, I don't think it is . We aren't a large organization and I've been there 10 years and have always received great reviews, gotten tons of bonuses, and have had good relationships with more senior persons. To be safe I am documenting everything, fact finding, and implementing a lot of changes. I know there is room for improvement and appreciate the constructive criticism but not that my organization went from a 1 to an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 and that the one example I know of is a bad one. I'm just in limbo waiting to see what the letter actually says. I'm glad I got a heads up but I just want to move forward. Neither HR non my bosses with talk with me about anything in regards to this (ie policies, penalties, improvement plans until I receive it). I'm being super careful about not being emotional, which is easy enough since I'm a professional person, but mainly trying to make sure I don't make any missteps and am always 100% in the right. I just want to see this darn letter! The suspense is killing me.
