| Eminem |
| Aretha! |
| I'm 28 and never turn off CCR, Simon & Garfunkle, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses. |
| Oh, right - Billy Joel. Definitely. |
I like Eminem but I doubt it. |
Name some music that you think is great across generations, then. |
| Classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, etc..) Beatles, Rolling Stones, Motown, Nirvana, Simon and Garfunkel (Woodstock era), Michael Jackson, and Madonna. |
| It's called classical music. Pieces that have stood the test of time. There is modern classical as well. |
| Stevie Wonder and Mozart. |
Yes to Motown. |
|
ACDC,
Skynyrd, Jimmy Buffett (laugh if you will but he has spanned a few generations of music) Sinatra The Stones, The Who Even the likes of Micheal J will be around for a long time. as will classic artists like bach and Beethoven I like the Beastie boys, but, rap/hip/hop just won't last...it will evolve over time as rock has, but i doubt any one particular artist will have any legs to last. |
He got two generations in my family. No other one did. |
|
The Grateful Dead. Their leader has been gone since 1995, yet they're still Truckin'.
|
+1 definitely Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder and Prince. Sade For hip hop/rap, I think Biggie, A Tribe Called Quest and Lauryn Hill have lasting power. |
Nursery Rhymes. all of them. ABC song too. |
