Bikes, beach, pancake houses, good restaurants, pizzarias, shops, i e cream, free movies by the bay very tuesday night.

Yes, love Topsail Island. We rented a home in North Topsail for a week a few summers in a row. Very relaxed and low key the last week in August. OP - look on VRBO for rentals. We had a huge, beachfront house with a pool for around $3000, so my guess is you'll easily find something to fit your budget!
