But there are many ignorant people out there. If there is an AA mentoring group you have access to, you may want to ask for advice from a senior AA professional. I hate that this is an issue--it's the ignorance of some managers, clients, and coworkers that I'd be concerned about. |
| I was always natural but straighted my hair. In 2000 I started wearing twists and was asked to change. I didnt and everyone adjusted. When I left there in 2009 I wore straight hair for interviews. Now there are so many natural I don't think you will have a problem or considered rare. Sisterlocs are lovely. Best wishes and it's sad we have to consider this, but we do. |
