Chevy chase circle.....lets learn how to drive

This:

If you are exiting onto Western Avenue or Grafton or Chevy Chase Parkway only enter into the right most lane and stay in that lane until you exit!

My beef with that circle happens during my evening commute. Without fail every night, as we are lined up with three cars---I'm in the middle with cars to my right and left--entering the circle on northbound CT from DC---the guy to my left always enters the middle lane in the circle instead of staying to the left and going in the left lane. Why can't people learn to drive?

Lane markings. Why are the lanes no longer visibly defined!?

For ppl like me, who live 2 blocks away, the complete lack of lane definition is less of a problem because we know the drill. I do think the hundreds (thousands?) of first-timers to this use this circle each day can be forgiven somewhat for swerving and veering -- the asphalt currently contains NO guidance. None.

Look next time you're there. It's an unusual state

Yup. I drive around here maybe once a month. I had NO IDEA you could turn onto northbound CT from the inner lane. I'll look out next time I'm there -- but how do folks know this? I can barely figure out which lane of CT moves into which lane in the circle!!!

The usual rule for a circle is that if you want to exit, you move to the outer lane, and if you try to exit from e.g. the middle lane, you better make sure there's nobody in the outer lane that you are going to cut off!

Well that is annoying. That's not how it is supposed to work. But yes if all three of you stick to your lanes all three of you can go halfway around and all three can stick to the same lanes exiting at the other side of the circle. Anyone wanting to go more than halfway around needs to get inner inner, wait until after CT then move out. Like the real local PP above said.
