Drooling over each and every one of these bags! And I usually dislike most styles. Exquisite stuff, thank you so much for sharing!

I am coveting the Chloe bag but I'm the poster who is buying the Alhambra and I can't buy an expensive necklace and a $1,200+ purse at the same time, lol. I am so sorry that the other thread turned so negative and I am glad that Jeff deleted those posts. I do want to thank you again for all of the wonderful advice and wish you merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year as that is more important than any material goods. Please do not let what one person said bother you. The rest of us have thoroughly enjoyed all of your posts.

I'm so so so happy you are getting the Alhambra! It's such a special piece and one that is so near and dear to my own heart that I'm thrilled you'll be wearing it - and hopefully enjoying it - as much as I do. And I totally understand how purchasing that puts a pause on other shopping. We'll be seeing some new bags come out in February so don't fret too much. I know there are some incredible pieces coming that you'll love just as much!

You're so welcome! Shoes and bags are my own personal obsession and I love sharing ideas for both with others.

Thank you so much! I'm the 37 year old stay at home Mom. I'm definitely looking into some of these bags and I know what to look for now when I make a bag purchase.

Question: do you think it's worth getting a classic Chanel flap? I like the bag but I do wonder if I'm falling into a trap just because it's declared a classic must have bag. Also I always felt like Bottega Veneta was a bit mature but I am drawn towards the small crossbody pilllow bags. Would like your thoughts on the above and any other advice for women as they make big purchases!

Not OP, but very thankful for Publicist PP's post. Great finds! Thanks for the links and for sharing your ideas.

Np here. Amazing thread, I can't get enough. Thank you!

Quick question: one of my girlfriends got a SC Louis Vuitton PM bag in black. I can't stop thinking about it but it's soo expensive! Would you say it's a worthwhile investment or will this look passé soon? Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Another thank you to the publicist. Can you tell me if the Everlane Petra Magazine has feet and stands well?

I like the look of the Charlie tote but it has too many pockets for me. Anything in between the Petra Magazine and Charlie tote you can recommend?

Also, I like the small Elle clutch in Dusk suede but its sold out and I can't find it anywhere else. Will more come available or is this it?

Another thank you to Publicist Poster!! You have given amazing recommendations and allowed me to have a glimpse of a much more glamorous world than I live in - what fun! I thankfully missed the negative posts and cannot imagine why anyone would have made negative posts when you have been nothing but helpful but as MO says, when they go low ... Happy holidays to you and hope you health improves!

So, publicist PP is here repping her clients and then sock puppeting to make it look like she has a bunch of support and thanks, right? The writing styles are way too similar and her original post sounds like ad copy ...

-also part of the PR world

The Marc by Marc line is cheaper and more practical but this is the general shape.

$700 bag for a 17 yo?

Are you nuts?

You are wrong, as I was poster 00:52 right above you, and it was my first time posting on this thread. I am a corporate lawyer - usually my clients don't tell me that I sound like a publicist in my contract drafting, but glad that we sound alike to you . I hope you get some time to relax and enjoy life over the holidays.

I really, really don't get negative comments like this about posters who have been as helpful as the original publicist PP. I hope you and the negative poster on the other thread find some time to seriously introspect before the new year so you can address whatever it is within you that gives you the urge to kill joy wherever you find it.

Publicist PP here. You're an absolute idiot. Sock purporting? I dare you to go post this insane theory on website feedback. Jeff can and will confirm that I'm doing no such thing. Also, as I've stated before, I rep people, not brands. But nice try discrediting me. You're not very clever so I doubt you work in PR. I doubt you work at all, as a matter of fact. Unless being a no good busy body counts as a job these days.

I love all your ideas but can't even fathom spending $700+ on a purse. Anything acceptable out there in the 200 range?

Publicist pp here - I wish I could help but as you can see in my lengthy post on page 2, I posted the one and only decent bag I found in that range. I also posted bags that cost less than $700 so please actually look through my entire post. I'm no longer putting my time and effort into providing tips and advice on here given the unnecessary rudeness, hate, and vitriol.

A lot of these suggestions seem beyond even a fashion forward 17 year old, at least one in the DC area. OP what about something from Shinola? I really like their watches and leather goods and it is very popular with the younger set. When I've been in their stores it's definitely been hip millennials shopping, although I also know older people who have their watches.
