When we schedule - unless it’s a sick visit - they ask if there’s a certain provider we want to see. We specific our child’s doctor, and we schedule based on that doctor’s availability. Especially for regular wellness visits, which are scheduled in advance, there should be little problem getting the doctor you want when you want.

Pick another doctor you like to be your main doctor. Yours must be an exception. They have plenty of good doctors with better availability.
No availability with our baby's doctor 6 months out. Our baby has only seen their main doctor on their first visit back from the hospital. All other visits have been with a random doc available or NP because we can't get our main doc until 6 months later. Babies go a lot more frequently than once per year. Other kid is a summer birthday that conflicts with vacation time - docs don't have summer plans locked in a year out.

We left because i could not deal with how big they have gotten. We had to wait for two hours last time for the annual exam that we had to schedule almost a year in advance. The in house phlebotomist was the worst I have ever seen especially working with pediatric patients. Yes, a couple of doctors in there are amazing, others are terrible. There are plenty of good doctors in other places that run much more efficiently.

AAP: Why COVID-19 Vaccines are Important for Children

This article/link was totally useless. It does not address why a perfectly healthy child should take a covid vaccine.

I never have these issues getting the doctor I want for well visits. Even with sick visits, they’ll often have several doctors available to choose from. I also love their portal. They are super responsive and the nurse often calls me right away if the question needs to be answered asap. I find most of the doctors to be great, and take their time with my kids and my questions. No issues at all with practice for the last 10 plus years.

They have been over the top about Covid. The doctor I loved left years ago- Dr. Shearin.
