OP, no one can answer your question about what your child's IEP should look like because it should be based on his individual needs. Suggest you contact an attorney or advocate in your area to work on his current IEP to ensure it adequately meets needs. The new receiving school division in MD/DC/VA will need to basically give you the same services as the old IEP until a new IEP is developed. Parental consent rights vary based on the jurisdiction. In VA, schools cannot implement a new IEP with different services from your old one until/unless you consent.
