Mrs Simpsons has a few parents sign up to chaperone every dance and has cocktails with them. I know her well, and she is not a racist. Sorry liberal poster.

If she wasn't racist, would this complaint have been necessary?

Being accused of "Racism" doesn't mean one is guilty of that.

Just part of the bullying that goes on when people don't get their way.

+1.

Some folks just claim racism to win some quick bucks.

They are the real racists in my book.

Having said that, I believe both cotillions are pretentious and obsolete.

LOL. You younger parents are funny. We were asked to involve our son with these scam operations. Before we could laugh in their faces, we learned about Mrs. Simpson and her racist comments.

THEY were uttered. Everyone about 5-8 years ago who had a child that age knows this.

Wow. Thanks for linking those articles. It is hard to believe Simpson is still n existence.

While these skills are useful for your children, there are other places to get them.

The social climbers are so thrilled to receive their invitations.

I would say more brutal to get in if you are a public school person. I like capital Cotillion because you just have to sign up early but all my private school parent friends wanted to Mrs Simpson's because it is exclusive. Sigh

Enough with the woe is me. You're hanging out with the wrong people. We have 3 kids in independent school and none of them has attended either of these. Newsflash: you can teach your kids manners at home. As for dancing, do you honestly think this is a necessary social skill? You'd be a lot better off teaching your kid to ski and play tennis.

Capital Cotillion is also more than 3 times more expensive than Mrs. Simpsons, apparently. CC $530 vs. Simpsons $150(?!). Signed up my son to CC this year and was surprised at the crowds and thus lack of quality control in teaching the kids.

DS just attended his first CC last week and yes I agree it was very crowded. Still, he didn't hate it per say. He was surprised by how rowdy some of the kids were.

And Jack and Jill is not racist? In any event, Mrs Simpson is a nice older lady if a certain age and she is inclusive to all. I have been to omen if the dances as a
Chaperone and there is quite a bit of diversity there. Most people don't even think of race and I saw this as a multiracial family.

Many of the dances (sorry autocorrect)

Why is this off base at all? What did you expect? It's an application for a finishing school. Now if a job application asked that you would have a point.

Because, my dear woman, of what import is it to the esteemed Mrs. Simpson when and at what location I, the mother of a prospective student, was Presented?

"Brutal" to get in to Mrs. Simpson's?? Ha Ha... that's a good one.

Our public sends an equal number of kids to both.

Not sure how you would know this, other than by word of mouth which is self-selecting. If your kids attend Mrs. Simpsons, you would know that almost all of the attendees are private school students, with a dominant group coming from Holton and Landon.

My son does Mrs Simpson’s. There are plenty of public school kids! My son does not attend Landon, or Holton for that matter. The drama surrounding Mrs Simpson is far better than it is.
