They ran a loss for a long time but have finally posted a profit, as of a couple years ago. Big profits. |
Poor attempt at trying to change the subject. Not working. |
Is Amazon running for president? |
| Welfare queens come in all shapes, sizes and orange hair colors. |
Where's your outrage for the TRILLIONS Google, Facebook, Exxon, Amazon, General Electric, etc. dodge? Trump is small potatoes. |
I am outraged. You think Trump is going to address that? Hell no. |
Amazon's P/E is above 200. They finally start making money but they have been writing off huge losses for many many years. It's Trump and his investors' money. Did he get taxpayer bailouts like many of Hillary's backers did? |
Amazon was basically investing so much more than their operational profits and hence was running a loss. Amazon kept building their logistical centers, adding distribution centers and investing heavily on software. Trump on the other hand was doing none of that and just making a loss and bankruptcy due to terrible business practices and poor management. |
Is Bezos running for President? |
Do you know how many small business, mom and pop shops Jeff Bezos destroyed? He can afford to take many years of big losses because of Wall Street money. Mom and pop shops don't have that luxury. I am sure Jeff Bezos carries big losses in his tax return. |
|
And if Bezos were running for President, we could take it up as a major issue. But since Trump is running for president, the onus is on him.
Fact is, he had an accountant who figured out the loophole, so Trump wasn't even the smart one here, other than being genius in losing almost a billion dollars. Great going, putz. |
Do not assume anything. Bezos is not running a PRIVATE real estate business. Bezos is running a public company and hence he as well as Amazon are much more tightly scrutinized than Trump. Also, you can get Bezos compensation from Yahoo Finance but you can't ANYTHING about Trump. As to Amazon's business, that is the nature of the world. The newer technologies beat down old and small. Just the natural order. When automobiles came the horse carriage makers went out of business, when PC(not politically correct, lol) came to the market mainframe makers including digital went out of business, When digital camara came Kodak went out of business, when google came many budding internet search companies went out of business etc etc. So what do you want to do? Stop all technological progress? |

You know, if his taxes are legal, I don't really see them as a grounds for criticism. If he released his recent taxes and everything was "legal" no matter how sleazy, I would not see a reason to criticize. He has indicated that he is a wealthy businessman and avoiding taxes is what they do. His other nonsense like using his foundation for his personal expenses, I criticize that.
However, since he is refusing to release his taxes, which suggests something fishy is going on. But there is such a wealth of other issues to criticize! |
| Who knew that when Romney said that 47% of the country doesn't pay taxes he was referring to the next GOP candidate. |
