Works for me. --GW alum who was a super senior |
Stupidest statement I've read on DCUM in awhile and that's saying something! The fact that you wrote that and didn't understand how sad and pathetic it is will bite you in the ass down the road when your kid is having trouble dealing with life. It might not happen until he/she is older and I'm sure you'll blame some other factor, but it will probably happen. The other scenario is when he/she realizes your BS and pulls away from you at which time I'm sure you'll blame their spouse... |
She's either deluded, or a troll. And, who says "D.M.V."? |
+1 plus the acceptance rate at cornell is now around 16% |
+ 100 this happened to my Albma mater, it was in the top 15 when I attended then it refused to participate in the rankings, i.e. Would provide info and now it's ranking had dropped 25 spots. Ps op your nuts! And...send your kid to public school if an ivy is your objective, better chance than from a private where multiple kids gets perfect sat scores |
+1 if my DD ends up at UMD, I will tell her how worthless she is and make her pay me back for all the years of private school tuition I've forked up for her! |
| Getting into Cornell and graduating from Cornell are two very different things. Talk to some Cornell grads about what a tough (and inspiring) path that is. |
Ugh -- if only I had know it was all my fault. My daughter did not get into Cornell (but does attend another Top 15 university). It's all because I didn't raise her well enough! I feel terrible. |
| I'm fine with my kid starting at a community college and transferring to a good state school or private university. Even after private school, some kids aren't always ready for a four year university. It's about my child and not me. |
Troll post. |
You sound like an uptight snob. Get over yourself. |
This is so-not clever. |
I agree. So very tacky. Go away, please. |

] You are very creative. Thanks for the laugh!! (although it is sadly sooo true.) |
