Oh no. That's very disappointing! |
| Get the Acorn extension for Amazon Prime and watch A Place to Call Home. It's Australian, not British, but it's awesome. |
| I'm looking forward to Poldark, season 2. Sure, it's fluff, but the cinematography is gorgeous, Cornwall is beautiful, the costumes and sets are great, and Aidan Turner can stand on my cliff and brood all day, any day. |
This show is terrible. |
Dancing on the Edge was terrible and so is Stange and Norrell--you have terrible taste in programs. |
| I want some more crime/killer/detective drama like the ones in OP's original post, not just general drama. Any recs for that stuff? |
| I love Last Tango in Halifax. Dramatic and funny, not a mystery. Excellent character developments. A British Parenthood. |
+1 HOT |
Perfect suggestion. I did this same thing. Anyone else watch this? Wonder why the accents seem British to me, not Australian? (Sarah sounds as if she could be Anna from DA and Mr Biggs is Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins). |
| Peaky Blinders. Loved it! And Cillian Murphy is easy on the eyes. |
| Anyone have any recommendations that are not period dramas, relationship dramas, or anything of the sort? I'm looking for current day killer dramas just like the ones OP mentioned in the original thread. |
Not all british, but: The Tunnel The Killing True Detective (Season 1) Fargo Bosch |
Orphan black American odyssey Endeavor Grantchester |

Can't believe I forgot about Black Mirror!
British, set in the near future. Really engaging. Don't get turned off by the first episode. |
+ a million Cillian is super hot on that show! |
