Summer Reading list - do you lie for your kids? Do yours actually read the books or no?

What? If they don't read it, don't do it! My kids are bookworms and usually read more than required.

Lying - that's a great example to set! No wonder our society is so screwed up. It's a vicious circle - stop lying and stop deceiving people into thinking you're better or on par with the rest. If you have so much pride that you have to lie, then you're really shaming your own family.

Don't know why the reading list can't just include some good stories instead of hit kids over the head with a social justice message.

Because it helps them learn empathy. Something perhaps they are not learning at home.
