Am I the only one dealing with the hell of Cookie Swirl C?

Yep, she is annoying. Not sure how old she is but I think she's in her early 20s. My DD keeps watching her on YouTube and when she does I distance myself because I can't stand that irritating voice that sounds like she's always high on something. I read somewhere that she donates her toys to less fortunate kids... but I still dislike her.

The other day my four year old asked me to watch YouTube videos. I said "which ones do you want to watch?" and she said "Cookie Swirl SEEEE!! Hehehehe" just like the intro to the Cookie Swirl C videos does. My life flashed before my eyes.

I have two daughters, 6 and 11 and they have never watched this, so therefore I don’t have to. I see my patients watching it every so often and I can’t stand it. I don’t understand why kids are even allowed to watch that junk.

What about the 5 minute craft videos? My 5 year old loves them.

My daughter outgrew those when she was 5 fortunately. Then she became obsessed with ‘totally tv’ and ‘troom troom’ and know we have capped her youtube time at 15 minutes a day which worked wonders for kicking the habit. We also clear our history so that youtube doesn’t recommend new shows (which is how we ended up with cookie swirl And her ilk to begin with)

Oh we know Cookie all too well. I have two kids 5 years apart, just as the oldest stopped being entertained by her the youngest discovered her. My eldest had enough sense to just watch and keep it moving. My youngest doesn't have any scruples and would always ask for me to buy the toys so I had to cut it off. She is an evil genius and probably a billionaire.

OP here. I love seeing this thread pop up. My daughter has long since outgrown Cookie but I'm in the fresh hell of Stampy Cat. Anyone with me?

DP. It's funny how triggered some of you get when a poster suggests you put down the wine and actually parent.
