Should a college professor assigned exam on Election day?

Ha! I am starting another master's program (I'm a teacher) this fall and received the syllabus today. Because I remembered this thread, I checked the dates. No exam but we do have a paper due on election day.

This thread was started on August 4th. My guess is that the OP was not even looking at this year's syllabus but rather one from last year that hasn't been updated.

OP, at least one of your classes will have an exam on election day.

What you are supposed to be learning in college is how to manage your time.

As college goes on, you may learn that the hard days are the ones where you study for the test, not those when you take it.
