The Guardian reports that Trump claimed in 2008 that his planned resort in Scotland would employ 1200 people, it currently employs 95, many of whom are seasonal.

According to the Washington Post, Trump's financial disclosure reported $4.2 million in income from the Aberdeen course last year, although reports filed with the British government say that the course has lost $6.9 million since opening in 2012.

There is significant segment of the US population that has never stepped into a college or can even spell without spellcheck or can do math much less understand economics. And that segment votes with their ignorance and emotion. Throughout ages this segment is vulnerable to the cons of a demagogue who SAYS HE CAN MAGICALLY FIX everything and blames the minorities, politicians or whoever for the ills suffered by the POORLY EDUCATED segment. BUT NO, the poorly educated never blame themselves for their sad state of affairs. The choices they made and the reality of corporate greed that cheats these poorly educated are hidden by a FAKE BILLIONAIRE who swindled millions from poor Americans in the name of a FAKE University. The more realistic and appropriate metric is to -- as others have noted --- start from the millions Drumpf inherited from his father and calculate from there.

If you do that, you'll find that (even using the wildly fantastic -- as in literally fantasy --- numbers Drumpf uses) Drumpf has actually done very poorly.

As noted, if he took what he got from Daddy and put it in an S&P 500 index fund, he'd have about twice as much now as he actually has / claims to have / appears to have.

p.s., given Drumpf's rampant narcissism (mental illness), I guarantee you that if he was half as good as he claims he is, he would be releasing his tax returns and other documents that would prove to the world how feckin' smrt he is --- he could not help it. But he can't, and he doesn't, because the numbers would reveal him as the fraud he is.
