Appealing - Can I still attend the orientation?

Anonymous
If you are appealing, clearly that means you will send the kid to the center if admitted. The orientation is as much the school marketing their program as introducing it to you.

If you know you are sending kid if admitted, you are wasting time, unless it is important to be seen as the parent of an AAP kid (of course, if you show up, and find out kid is not admitted, you can just claim you decided the base was a better fit.)

Anyone has experience attending orientation without the invitation?

This is ridiculous and height of craziness. Why would you want to attend? Wait until the appeal and then ask the school to give you a tour if your child gets in.

I am still not sure why you want to attend. Are you trying to show off other parents that your kid got in? I am sure I will be bashed for this comment. But I don't see any other reason why you would want to attend..

Most of parents go to the orientation for the information, esp if you are first timer. Keep your nasty comments to yourself. Not everyone is like you.

To bring her just seems so selfish and all about your ego and trying to make it seem to your friends that your kid was accepted.

Agree on the first part - it raises unnecessary expectations.
