NP here: yes, check the Colonial Sports website. Game times are standard throughout FCPS. It is true that many of the team sports run on later schedules - it's just how it is in FCPS.

Very few TJ teams are competitive but the ones that are in less popular and individual sports usually are good (cross country, swimming, tennis). The major sports, not so much.

My 2016 freshman started playing sports this spring. Feel it has helped him to accept TJ more. Eventhough team isnt great he is proud to where his TJ spirit gear. biggest problem is with transportation getting home. learn to accept a "carpool" after practice may mean a meeting point 5-10 miles away. For the TJ world that's a neighborhood. 5-10 miles away still beats driving the beltway during rush hour for a after practice/game pick up. It is a challenge to not get home from a game until 9PM and then have to eat dinner and then start homework.

My DD loves to play TJ Sports and makes it work with the school responsibilities.
