The worst part of this plan -- they do intend to eventually release this data, but not until well after it impacts enrollment periods. Do they think it won't impact next year's lottery process, or do they just intend to pull it from the site as soon as count day rolls around? That would be the typical MO.
By not showing IB and sibling preferences they're leaving a lot of waitlisted families in the dark for months on end just to protect the feelings of lower demand schools. Those schools are lower demand for various reasons, none of which have to do with DC public school lottery demand. Lottery demand is driven by school performance -- school performance is not driven by lottery demand.
