Matched with our inbounds; we'll probably stick with it unless we get offered Lee.

What is your inbounds?

Matched nowhere. Shut out everywhere. Waitlosted in the 2 and 300's everywhere.

That sucks. What grade? What schools?

If LAMB opens the new class, you may get in with that number.

Good luck.

If I were that parent, I'd write a quick letter to the charter board supporting their expansion. If they get it, there may be a good chance the 30s gets in.

Tubman. Recent feedback on Bridges is making it seem less like a good fit for us and it's a bit far, whereas Tubman is practically in our backyard. Lee looks like our only other possibility for getting off the waitlists, and I liked the school a lot even before the new building. Not quite as convenient as Tubman for us, but the program seems fantastic.

For pk4:
121 in lamb waitlist
Got into dual language program at Marie Reed (IB)
46 on waitlist at Oyster, our top choice

Wow, I didn't think the waitlist at Van Ness would be that high.

No chance at Oyster with that number. Don't give up though. Go to MR for PK4, and try again for Oyster for K--we love it! I know a family that tried for 3 years, and finally got in on the third try.

We are lottery twins - similar WL numbers, same schools, same concerns about Bridges. Hopefully will see you at Lee - good luck!

I would definitely go to Tubman over Bridges...even if they were both next door to each other. The families there are pretty happy. You'll likely get into Lee with that number -- it went into the 60s/70s last year.

Matched nowhere, waitlisted everywhere. Was prepared for this. Still bummed though.

Us, too!

I don't know. We're also IB for Tubman and chose Bridges instead and will stay there even after the move. Fit is definitely a huge factor, but I wouldn't say Tubman is obviously preferable. In any case, it does sound like you might have a shot at Lee. Good luck.

Matched at Eaton, in bounds with sibling. Did not list anything else, since if we did not go there we would just continue daycare for another year.
