Just want to say that last week I got a migraine and needed to get home quickly so called an Uber. When I got in I told the driver, "I have a mgraine, so if I ask you to pull over, it's because I have to throw up and don't want to do it in your car,"

Dude drove so fast and stayed on the right the whole time. I was so grateful

Yeah, we're people too...we know the deal. We can't read your mind, so a simple statement of what's up goes a long way. Also, as long as traffic is pretty normal, a good driver can make a few minor miracles happen along the way.

Did I miss it, or why is a puking in your car a money maker for you? Big tip, or does Uber pay for a cleaning?

Everywhere....and especially along the entire stretch of Georgia Avenue.

After a non-scientific study of the intoxicated riders...about half are stoned, the other half drunk. And I'll take a pothead any day over a drunk. If someone reeks when they get in, I'll kid around with them about it...smell is awful but fades away once they're out. LOTS of people in DC definitely have a wide array substance vices.

I talked to an Uber driver who does it full time. He puts on 10k miles/month and fills his tank 2-3x/day. He keeps always at least hafl full unless he gets a fare to really far away like to Baltimore or something.

I've heard parents have started sending their kids to college with an Uber account, since it's cheaper to Uber than to maintain/park a car. I would think college kids would have short little trips, though, rather than longer rides. Are college kids your best source of income? If not, who are?
