Pros and Cons of Birth Center Birth & Logistics post birth

Just chiming in to say that I'm not due till late November and am waitlisted at BirthCare (currently # 3). I was really surprised to find out that you pretty much have to get in with them the day you find our you're pregnant! I'm looking at DC Birth Center instead because I think my chances of getting moved up are slim....
