Just got rejected by all of the grad schools I applied to, what to do?

There's a lot to consider. Strength of programs, your area of focus, your background and vision. In short it's about finding the right fit. You've got to make your case. Either you're picking super selective programs and just don't have the credentials and/or your application wasn't strong enough. There are so many variable, it's hard to say without knowing more details - but if you are sure this is the right path for you (is it?), the right program is out there.

The top programs are steering away from that formula to grab top students who would otherwise go to law school. I am about 5 years out of a top 5 program and those of us in our late twenties were on the older side.
