Behavior chart

RC emphasizes that social learning is just as important as academic learning. This learning occurs organically throughout the day and through class meetings. Respect is emphasized. Children are not bribed or rewarded for good behavior. It is a whole way of structuring your class and day that takes into account developmental needs of the age group of the students. It works well K-6 at my school, and it works best if the whole school is an RC school. As a seasoned teacher, it has been the single most positive change I have ever made in my classroom. I see my students displaying more empathy and making good choices more frequently.
