| I got my furniture at Great Beginnings in Gaithersburg when each of my kids was a baby. Crib, plus dresser and book shelves. I chucked the crib long ago but I swear, the other furniture (including bed frame I bought there later) looks new. I am re-decorating my 13 year olds room right now and he wants to keep all the furniture - it is new looking, sturdy, and simple and plain enough that he likes it. I can't believe how well it holds up! Highly recommend. |
Green guard was important to me for the crib (since baby will be closer to it for long periods and may end up chewing on it) but was not at all important for other furniture. Compromised by doing a certified RH baby crib with th Ikea Hemnes dresser |
| We bought an Ikea crib and changing table, and use a vintage wooden dresser that DH painted. We did this with DCs 1&2, and will do the same for #3. That way you only have to add a bed when they're ready. Kiddie furniture doesn't really age well IMO. |
